I am really liking the new 8bit Do Arcade Stick...

I kinda want to build my own 2player big arcade base with super premium hardware installed in it; but this stick by 8bit Do is pretty awesome. It has modes for all different styles of controller, you can switch around if you have L/R 1/2 buttons and there just option to use an arcade stick for many systems, both current and retro.

switch mode for the switch, for their retro game offerings anyway.
    xinput mode for xbox

stick can be d-pad, left analog stick or right analog stick..

It's just really customizable and allows an arcade stick to be... more than an arcade stick.

Its $89.99... what do you think about that price? 8BitDo kinda is known for being a premium controller- which sucks in the 'RetroPie' generation because... They are just 'GOOD' controllers. But china fucked us with so many 1oz controllers that SUCK ... now this is 'premium'.. anyway, I'm ok with $90 - but... man maybe I should sell controllers to raspberry pi owners. :P LOL.

They shit is awesome. I have one of their SNES looking bluetooth controllers in my computer bag. When I use to travel for work (thanks COVID), I could fire up MAME or FS-UAE on my MBP and have at it.

    Hello All,

I'm joining the BBS for the first time from my DOLCH 486(DX4 - 100MHZ). I have an ISA ethernet card and joining through telnet - so I'm happy to be connected. I hope everyone has enough whisky to last them the holidays!

    Thanks,
    Matt

Ah, a 486DX4/100 -- I used to have one, too, in the early 90s!
    With a 3Com 3C509 Combo Ethernet card, if I recall correctly. :)
Also played around with some NE2000 clone Ethernet cards which worked so-so. :)

Wait, are ISA network cards worth something nowadays? I remember throwing them away (err, to be recycled) by the hundreds in the early 2000s. It seems like any time you find a random lot of ISA cards or open up an older machine (hoping for a rare sound card or something, no doubt) its mostly a bunch of crusty old NICs. :P

I had the TL/3 in the early 90's but that has dissappeared into the abyss that is my mother's basement in Victoria along with milk crates of comic books, hockey and baseball cards etc.

That Tandy even had the hi-tech 40 megabyte hard drive upgrade installed.

LOL - Kinda funny... they were stupid money at the beginning of their life cycle and now, when they are retro... but those 20 years in between - you could have picked them up for NOTHING.

I dig that you like that line, but as for retro systems its a hard-buy because they WERE inferior... if not at their exact time in life, then JUST after... I do know we had an edge on graphics for a SHORT time, but... :P I dig it tho... I'd also love to have the system that I started [BBSing anyway] on.

Hahhaha if I had to have an end of the world party it definitely would
be amazing. I think the goal would be to not make it to end of the
party. I'd make try to make it so even Hunter S. Thompson would even say "Perhaps you'd better slow down?" and you'd definitely be on the VIP
    guest list.

    Deal.

My wife have discussed this plenty of times, if the world was ending how
would we go out. It always seems to end in blow, booze and sex.
